How to Keep Your Lawn Termite-Free (Drywood Termites)

Drywood Termites

Termites can cause severe structural damage to a home. Keeping your lawn free of them is way to protect your place against infestation. Follow these steps for an anti-termite lawn treatment.

1)Apply a border of gravel between your lawn and the base of your house.

2)Keep the soil between your lawn and your house as dry as possible.

3)Apply a layer of plastic under the grass and soil that slopes away from the foundation.

4)Hire a professional company to install termite bait systems in your lawn. Contract with a company that monitors the bait stations four times a year.

5)Move all wood off your lawn.

termite bait stations are for subterranean termites not drywood. different biology. termites are all over. At best bait stations are moderately effective for the eastern sub. termite. Subterranean termites could care less about you lawn. they nest underground.
